Our story, from then to now
Twenty years plus,
The power of love
No flux capacitor required.
Began with a broadsheet
Now in the digital age
From pens not writing
To pagers and smartphones,
Diabetes data & robot parts
To SkyNet stealing salaries.
Our story continues on.
Job junctions, financial reframes
New chapters written.
Papers and banks
Digital health and credit unions
To unlimited power supplies of love
They pay our souls.
We Believe
In Sigma Pi and us
Flowering like orchids
Wherever we plant ourselves.
Lakes to cornfields
Burbs to farmland
And back again
Even to BilboB’s on vacay.
We’ve seen NOLA + New England,
Smokies, and the ghosts of colonial ‘Merica
Yooper yondering and pasty pursuits
So many times traveling.
Our lives, watered by what we drink
Coffee, polluted or not;
Sweet or dry drinks,
Brewpubs and wineries on winding roads
From the burbs we know
To blundering points at land’s end.
With genealogical curiosity
Always in our hearts.
We salute Carole & Jack, Judi & Larry,
Bill & Irma, and ancestors before.
Forever Riley, Shadow, Gibbs
And rainbows forever.
People and pets,
Jellyfish and sauerkraut,
Poets, parents, prospects, & pals
They’ve all shaped our story.
Tomorrow is tomorrow
Possibilities shine
Through the clouds.
No tomorrow’s headlines today,
But we’re excited, yet unsure.
Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow.
We’re already moving as one.
With another West Wing Wednesday waiting,
We ask: ‘What’s next?’
Full hearts, clear eyes.
Can’t lose.
Stillwater rules we follow
With head slaps as needed.
Our story isn’t written yet.
So we’ll make it a good one.
No deloreans or holiday train reboots.
Together, we’ll face tomorrow.
Soon.
Better than butter because.
